What this policy covers

This policy covers this website, and the studio's own outreach to business contacts, which has a section of its own below.

It does not cover work carried out under a separate agreement, and it does not cover WhatsApp, Instagram or any other service you reach by following a link from here.

What we collect

Only what you type into a form and choose to send. There are four forms on this site.

The contact form, on the home page and on the contact page, asks for:

• /Where your visit came from: any campaign or advert labels in the address you arrived with, the site that referred you, the page you landed on and the page you sent the form from. This records where a click came from, not who you are, and nothing is stored in your browser to do it.

The academy interest form

The form on the academy page asks for:

• /Your name (required)
• /Email (required)
• /Experience level (required, chosen from a list)
• /Preferred track (required, chosen from a list)
• /Anything else you want to add (optional)
• /Where your visit came from: any campaign or advert labels in the address you arrived with, the site that referred you, the page you landed on and the page you sent the form from. This records where a click came from, not who you are, and nothing is stored in your browser to do it.

The project brief form

The form on the project brief page is the longer version of the contact form, for someone who already has a project in mind. It asks for:

• /Your name (required)
• /Work email (required)
• /Company (required)
• /Phone or WhatsApp number (optional)
• /Project type, intended use, approximate runtime, required formats, target markets, languages and a desired delivery date (all optional, most chosen from a list)
• /Whether a script or concept already exists, a reference link, and any notes (all optional)
• /A tick to confirm you have read this privacy page (required), and a separate, entirely optional tick if you also want to hear from us about the academy and studio notes
• /Where your visit came from: any campaign or advert labels in the address you arrived with, the site that referred you, the page you landed on and the page you sent the form from. This records where a click came from, not who you are, and nothing is stored in your browser to do it.

The calculator form

The calculator on the tools page works entirely inside your browser and sends nothing on its own. You can change the settings and read the result without giving us anything at all. If you then ask it to email you the estimate, that form asks for:

• /The four settings you chose and the figures the calculator worked out from them, which are sent along with the three fields above

The two tools that write something for you

Two tools on the tools page produce something from what you type: Brief to Shot Sheet turns a brief into a shot sheet, and Concept Frames turns a description into four still frames. They work differently from the calculator, so this section says exactly what happens.

You can use either one without telling us who you are. Nothing is asked of you to see the result.

What is sent: only the text you typed and the few settings on the page, such as the length, the formats or the time of day. Nothing else about you is attached to it.

Where it goes: to a service inside the studio's own cloud account, which is set up in the United Arab Emirates. The work itself may be done in the cloud provider's data centres in other countries, because that is how this kind of service runs, but anything the provider stores stays in the United Arab Emirates. It is not sent to a separate product you have an account with, and it is not used to train anything.

What is kept: nothing you typed, and nothing the tool produced, beyond the email copy you asked for. There is no database here either. A result waits in the site's memory for up to half an hour so that you can ask for it by email after reading it, and is then gone.

One thing outside the studio's hands: the cloud provider checks every request automatically for misuse. If a request is flagged, the provider may keep it so that one of its own staff can review it, and it keeps it in the United Arab Emirates.

The four concept frames are held on the studio's own storage and deleted one day after they are made. The links in the email stop working at the same time. Save anything you want to keep.

To have a result by email, the same three fields and the same tick as everywhere else on this site:

• /Where your visit came from, which goes to the studio's copy only, exactly as it does for the calculator

Limits on those two tools

Both tools cost the studio money to run, so both are limited. Each visitor gets three runs of each tool an hour, and each tool serves a set number of runs a day across everybody. Past either limit the tool says so plainly and points you at the project brief form.

We count how many times each tool has been run. We do not record what anybody typed into it, and we do not keep a record of who ran it.

Neither tool will write about anything sexual, anything violent aimed at a real person, or anybody's named private individual. If you ask for one of those it says so and suggests a conversation instead.

The studio guide, by voice or by typing

Every page has a button that opens the studio guide. The guide is an AI, not a person, and it says so. It answers questions about the studio from this site's own pages, can point to things on the page, and can take you to the project brief form. It never quotes prices.

Nothing about it loads until you press that button. The microphone is used only if you then press Talk: your browser asks your permission first, and the microphone stops when the call ends, when you close the guide, or when you leave the site. You can type instead and never use the microphone at all.

What is sent: what you say or type in the conversation, the address of the page you are on, and the language of the page. The guide does not ask for your name, email or phone number, and there is no need to give them to it. The project brief form is the place for those.

Where it goes: your voice, what you type, and the detailed answers the guide looks up all go to a service in the studio's own cloud account that is set up in Sweden, in the European Union, which listens, reads and answers. The two free tools use a different service in the studio's own cloud account, set up in the United Arab Emirates. The work itself may be done in the cloud provider's data centres in other countries, because that is how this kind of service runs, but anything the provider stores for the guide stays in the European Union. None of it is used to train anything.

What is kept: nothing. The conversation is not recorded. The studio keeps no audio and no transcript. The words you see in the panel exist only in your open page and are gone when you close it. The site counts how many conversations there were and how many minutes they lasted, and nothing else.

One thing outside the studio's hands: the cloud provider checks conversations automatically for misuse. If a conversation is flagged, the provider may keep it so that one of its own staff can review it, in the same region as above.

Moving the page: the guide can scroll to a heading, draw a ring around it and open another page of this site, but only after you switch on page guiding in the panel or press a button it offers. Page guiding is off every time the guide opens. The guide never fills in a form and never sends one for you.

The presenter: when you press See the guide, or Talk, the panel shows the guide's presenter, a woman who speaks the guide's answers. She is an AI, not a person: a synthetic face and voice, made live from the text of the guide's answers by a service in the studio's own cloud account, set up in Sweden, in the European Union. The panel says so, her first words say so, and the words AI presenter stay on her picture the whole time. She is a stock presenter from the cloud provider's own catalogue, and she is not modelled on anyone at the studio. Her live picture does not start until you press one of those two buttons; until then the panel shows only a still picture of her. She never uses your camera, and she never sees or hears you: your microphone belongs to the voice call alone, under the rules above. Nothing she says or shows is recorded, and the studio keeps no video. Your browser receives her picture through the provider's video relay, which needs a short lived pass made only for that. She stops when you pause her, when the call she came with ends, when you close the guide or leave the site, and after a short time with nobody speaking or typing. If your connection cannot carry her picture, the guide carries on by voice and in writing.

Limits: a voice call lasts five minutes at most, and the guide serves a set number of voice minutes a day across everybody. The presenter has a set number of minutes a day of her own, and when they are used the guide carries on by voice and in writing. It will not discuss anything sexual or any private individual.

In your browser: the guide stores nothing and sets no cookie. If you said yes to the analytics notice, opening the guide and using it are counted as named actions, and what you said or typed never is. If you said no, nothing about the guide reaches Google.

What we use it for

Replying to you about the enquiry, the project brief, the academy interest, the estimate or the shot sheet or frames you asked for. Nothing else. We do not sell it and we do not share it for advertising.

Three places on this site email you rather than only the studio: the calculator, Brief to Shot Sheet and Concept Frames. Each sends you the thing you asked for, and sends the studio the same thing so Stephan can come back to you.

There is no mailing list. The optional marketing tick on the project brief form records that you are happy to hear from us later; it does not sign you up to anything today, because there is nothing to sign up to. The tick is off unless you turn it on, and leaving it off has no effect on your enquiry.

How a submission is handled, and what is pending

When you submit a form, the site checks the required fields are filled in and that the email address is a valid shape. It then sends the details to the studio as an email. The calculator and the two tools send two each: one to you with the thing you asked for, and one to the studio.

The service that sends these emails is Resend. A submission is checked and then delivered to two of the studio's own mailboxes, the founder's and the studio's shared enquiry mailbox, as an ordinary email. Nothing you type is written to a database, because this site does not have one.

The contents of your submission sit in those two mailboxes, and in Resend's delivery records, in the same way any ordinary email does.

Analytics

This site uses Google Analytics, run by Google, to see which pages people read and which of them lead to an enquiry. When a visit starts from one of the studio's own Google ads, the same measurement tells Google Ads whether that visit led to an enquiry, so the studio can see which ads are worth paying for. It sets cookies in your browser and Google is able to recognise the same browser on a later visit.

It is not loaded until you agree to it. The first time you arrive, a small notice asks. Nothing is requested from Google and no Google cookie is set before you answer, and if you answer no, it is never loaded at all and any Google Analytics or Google Ads cookie already on your browser from before is deleted.

What it records when it is switched on:

• /The page address and the page that referred you
• /Approximate location, worked out from your network address, at city level at most
• /Device type, operating system, browser and screen size
• /The time of the visit and how long you spent on a page
• /A small number of named actions: sending one of the forms, using the cost calculator, pressing the WhatsApp or phone buttons, and opening or using the studio guide. What is recorded is that it happened and on which page, never what you typed or said

Changing your mind about analytics

Your answer is kept in your own browser, in local storage, under the name vsnry.analytics-consent. It records the answer and nothing else: no identifier, no date, nothing about who you are.

Clearing your browsing data for this site removes that answer along with the Google cookies, and the notice will ask again the next time you visit. Your browser's own settings can also block the cookies outright, and the site works normally either way.

Cookies

The only cookies on this site are the ones Google sets for this measurement, and only if you agree: Google Analytics cookies and Google Ads measurement cookies. The studio does not use them to show you advertising, here or anywhere else, and there are no cookies from any other company.

The other things kept in your browser are your answer to the analytics question, described above, and, only if you pick one on the language switch, the language you picked. The cookies page explains all of it in more detail.

Other services involved in loading a page

The two typefaces the site is set in are served from this site itself. Your browser does not contact a font service to load them, so nobody else sees that request.

Loading any page here does still make your browser talk to one other company, Microsoft, in two ways. That is normal for any website, but it is worth naming them:

• /Microsoft Azure hosts the site, on the studio's own account in its UAE North region. Serving a page to you means Azure handles your request, including your IP address.
• /The videos are served from the studio's own storage on Microsoft Azure. Your browser fetches them directly from there, so that service sees your IP address and browser details.

Links out to other places

The WhatsApp button, the social icons and the map link all take you to services run by other companies. Nothing is sent to them until you actually click. Once you are there, their own terms and privacy policies apply, not ours.

Business contacts and outreach

The studio contacts people in business roles at companies it believes may need its work. If you have heard from the studio without writing in first, this is the section that applies to you.

The details used are a name, a business title, a company and a work email address, obtained from public business sources and from business data providers. No home address, no personal phone number and no private email address is used.

The purpose is to offer the studio's services to businesses. Nothing is sold on and nothing is passed to anybody else.

Anyone can stop it with a single reply. One reply is enough, no reason is needed, and that address is never contacted again.

Contact details gathered for a campaign are deleted 90 days after that campaign ends.

How long we keep things

For anything you send through a form on this site: not yet defined. No retention period has been set, and it would be wrong to state one here before it has. Enquiries sit in the studio's mailboxes until someone deletes them, which is the plain truth rather than a policy.

For the contact details used in the studio's own outreach the period is set, at 90 days after the campaign ends. See the section on business contacts above.

Asking about your information

Email us and we will deal with it directly. There is no automated process for this, and no formal request procedure has been written yet, so we are not going to describe one that does not exist.

Which law applies

VSNRY Motion Innovation Ltd is licensed in the Dubai International Financial Centre, which runs its own data protection regime. The law that applies to the studio is the DIFC Data Protection Law 2020.

No claim of registration, certification or independent audit is made here, because none has taken place, and no lawyer has reviewed this site. This page describes what the site and the studio actually do, so that whoever carries out that review starts from something accurate.

Changes

If the site changes what it does, this page gets changed to match. The date at the top tells you when the wording was last edited.

Our own films on YouTube

We use a system that publishes our own films to our own YouTube channel. It uses YouTube API Services. By using it we agree to YouTube's Terms of Service, which you can read at https://www.youtube.com/t/terms, and Google's privacy policy covers the information Google holds, which you can read at https://policies.google.com/privacy.

What it sends. When we publish a film, the system sends YouTube the film itself and the things that go with it: the title, the description, the tags, the thumbnail picture and the subtitle files. Every upload arrives private and stays private until one of us makes it public by hand.

What it reads. Two things, both about our own channel and nothing else. It checks the channel's name once, to be sure it is connected to the right account. Once a week it reads how our own films have performed, which is the number of views and the average time people watched.

What it keeps, and for how long. It keeps the link to each published film and a note of when it went out, so that the same film is never posted twice and so we can see how our work performs. Those records stay while the film is public. The cut down versions and subtitle files the system makes along the way are deleted after fourteen days. The original film stays in our own storage for up to one hundred and eighty days. Ready to post folders for platforms we post to by hand are deleted after sixty days. The weekly performance numbers are kept for no longer than thirty six months.

Whose information this is. The system works only with our own films and our own channel. It does not read, collect or store anything about anyone else's account, and it does not read comments, private messages or subscriber lists. If you appear in one of our films, that is covered by the agreement we made with you for that production, not by this policy.

Who else sees it. Nobody outside VSNRY Motion and the people who run this system for us. We do not sell it, we do not use it to target advertising, and we do not pass it to anyone else.

Taking access away. The Google account that connected this system can withdraw that access at any time at https://security.google.com/settings/security/permissions, and the system stops working with the channel from that moment. If that access is withdrawn, we delete the YouTube information the system holds about the channel within thirty days.
