CONCEPT FRAMES
Four Frames Before A Word Of Script.
Describe the film in a sentence or two. You get back four still frames in the studio's look, in order: where we are, what happens, the detail that carries the finish, and the frame it ends on.
Four frames is the fastest way to find out whether a concept is the one, and the cheapest point in the whole process to change your mind.
These are concepts to react to, not finished work. A finished film is directed shot by shot from a sheet, not generated in one go.
Questions about this tool
What These Frames Are, And Are Not.
Why four frames and not one?
Because one picture tells you almost nothing about a film. The four are an establishing frame, the frame that carries the action, a detail frame and the frame it ends on, in that order, holding the same place and the same light. That is a concept. Four goes at the same picture would not be.
Is this what the finished film would look like?
No. These are concepts to react to. A finished film is directed shot by shot from a sheet, with the blocking, the lensing and the lighting decided in writing, and it is graded and finished after that.
How long do the frames last?
One day. They are held on the studio's own storage and deleted after that, and the links in the email stop working at the same time. Save anything you want to keep.
What happens to what I typed?
It is sent to a service inside the studio's own cloud account to make the frames, and it is not kept afterwards. Nothing you type is written to a database, because this site does not have one.
Can I use these frames?
Use them to think with and to show the people you have to convince. They carry a mark saying what they are, on purpose, so nobody downstream mistakes a concept for finished work.
