BRIEF TO SHOT SHEET
See It Directed Before It Is Built.
Paste the brief you already have. You get back a directed shot sheet in the studio's own format: what every shot has to do, how it is blocked, lensed and lit, and the continuity rules the piece has to hold.
This is the studio's third stage, the one where a film stops being an idea. Every sequence is broken into directed shot sheets before a single frame is generated, and what is on them is what gets built.
The sheet is a starting point to argue with, not a quote. A project is priced from the brief and confirmed in writing before anything starts.
Questions about this tool
What This Page Is, And Is Not.
Is this a quote?
No, and it never prints a figure of any kind. It says what would be built and in what order. A project is priced from the brief and confirmed in writing before anything starts.
How close is this to a real shot sheet?
It is the right format and close to the right level of detail. A real one is written by the director, after a conversation about what the film has to do, and it is agreed with you before anything is built. This is the shape of that document, produced from a few lines.
Can I use what it gives me?
Yes. It is yours. Take it to whoever you like, including another studio. A shot sheet is a way of thinking about a film, not a secret.
What happens to the brief I typed?
It is sent to a service inside the studio's own cloud account to produce the sheet, and it is not kept afterwards. If you ask for the sheet by email, the copy in that email is the only copy that exists. Nothing you type is written to a database, because this site does not have one.
Does it send anything while I am typing?
No. Nothing leaves the page until you press the button, and nothing is emailed to anybody unless you fill in the form asking for it.
