How Is An AI Film Made, From Brief To Master?

AI VideoProduction ProcessDubai

AI video production at VSNRY Motion is a directed pipeline that turns a brief into finished masters in six stages. We agree the treatment and the shot sheets before any frame is generated. Shots are built from structured prompts with JSON driven prompt control and frame accurate lip sync. The Every Market Calculator compares published shoot ranges with computing costs for an example film; the written price comes from the brief.

The six stages, in one line

We run every project through six stages: brief, treatment, shot design, production, review and finish. That order is fixed so decisions land where they do least harm. Read the full sequence on the method page to see where your choices matter and when changes are cheapest.

We call the work directed rather than generated because a human creative director chooses blocking, lensing and continuity. These choices are agreed in writing on shot sheets before a single frame is generated. To start, use our short project form; the director reads it and replies within 24 hours.

Before a call, the Every Market Calculator sets published Dubai shoot ranges against the published computing and dubbing cost of generating the same film, with the source on every line and a worked example for a thirty second film. The computing figure is not our price, and neither figure is a quote.

What happens at the brief

At the brief you describe what the piece has to do: the audience, the message, where it runs, and which formats and languages it must serve. Nothing is committed or quoted at this stage. The short project form lets you leave undecided items blank and still start the conversation.

We work in English and German with frame accurate lip sync so a campaign can run in more than one language without being recast. Language and format choices are among the four things that move the number and are set at the brief rather than discovered at delivery.

There is no rate card because a film is priced from what it has to do. After the brief the studio confirms a price in writing before anything starts. If you want a range without contact, the Every Market Calculator and the pricing page explain how the numbers are built.

Treatment and shot design

At treatment we agree the creative approach: story, look, camera language and the continuity rules the piece will hold from first frame to last. This is the cheapest point to change direction because it happens before shot design. You agree the direction, or send it back.

Shot design breaks sequences into directed shot sheets before a single frame is generated. Blocking, lensing and lighting are decided in writing, shot by shot. What is on the shot sheets is what gets built, so a sequence can read as one place and one time rather than a set of unrelated frames.

We use character consistency sheets, frame accurate lip sync and JSON driven prompt control as signature methods to hold faces, wardrobe and timing steady across a production. These methods do not change with the tooling, and they are the reason output stays consistent across a production rather than shot by shot.

How production runs

In production each shot is built from structured prompts and is run under JSON driven prompt control rather than prose. No single platform is tied to a project and the list of tools in use changes frequently, so a project is designed around the directing, not around one provider.

Versions are produced and compared side by side so we can iterate A B style and avoid committing on the day. A change of location, product colour, time of day or language becomes another pass through the pipeline rather than a new shoot, and that is how the studio keeps options open.

You do not need to be involved while production runs unless something in the brief changes. The method page says stage four runs without you. The director remains responsible throughout, checking continuity as grading and finish approach because no piece leaves without a director's review.

Review, versioning and delivery

After generation we prepare review passes so you can compare versions and choose which goes forward. Colour grading and logo lock ups are directed stages, not an export button at the end. That review is a craft and continuity check by the director rather than a legal clearance.

We deliver colour graded masters with logo lock ups in the aspect ratios and formats agreed at the brief. Masters are mastered from one concept rather than re edited per placement, which is how cross platform porting is managed from one campaign to many placements and languages.

Music and third party marks require permissions and clearance. Our responsible production page says music must be cleared and that we use a brand's own marks only with permission. We have not published a full rights clearance process, so agree who clears tracks and trademarks in the project contract.

Timelines, cost and when a shoot is needed

For its example film, a thirty second brand film, the Every Market Calculator shows published figures of three to seven working days and eleven to twenty one skilled hours for generating it. Those are published figures for the example, not the studio's timeline or price.

Four things decide what a film costs: the finished length, how many languages it ships in, how many formats it ships in, and whether it has to be filmed for real. These four factors are listed on the pricing page and a project is priced from the brief.

Some briefs still need a real shoot. The calculator sets out cases such as when a named person must be on camera, a live event happened once, a product must be shown exactly as it is, a regulatory approval requires actual footage, or a recognisable location has to be the real place. State these in the brief.

Common questions

How quickly will the creative director reply to a brief?
The studio's creative director reads the brief and replies within 24 hours. That first reply starts the conversation that covers audience, message, formats and languages; nothing is committed or quoted at that stage.
Can the studio deliver masters in multiple aspect ratios?
Yes. The studio delivers colour graded masters in the aspect ratios and formats agreed at the brief, mastered from one concept rather than re edited per placement.
Will you train models on assets I supply?
No. Brand assets a client supplies are used for that client's project and the studio does not train models on them or reuse them on other projects, as current practice rather than documented policy.
Who directs the work and who will I deal with?
Every project runs through the studio's creative director from first prompt to master delivery. You work with the director rather than a team of generalists.
Is the Every Market Calculator a quote?
No. It sets published shoot ranges against the published computing and dubbing cost of generating the film. The computing figure leaves out the studio's own work and fee, so neither is a studio quote. The studio prices a project from the brief and confirms the number in writing.

Working on something like this?

These notes describe how the studio runs its own productions. If you have a piece that needs the same discipline, send the brief over. Nothing is committed and nothing is quoted at that stage.
