What Is A Video Production House?

Production ProcessDubaiAI Video

A video production house organises and delivers films from idea to finished masters. We make directed, generated films: a human creative lead sets the approach, shot design decides how each frame is composed, and the pipeline produces versioned, colour graded masters in the formats the campaign needs. Start with our brief or read the services page.

What a production house is

A production house organises the work from the first idea to finished masters. At VSNRY Motion we run a directed, generated pipeline under a human creative lead. We do not offer one size fits all; the brief defines what we make and nothing is quoted before that stage.

A production house is more than a camera operator. It brings together creative direction, shot design, versioning and delivery, and holds the craft that keeps a sequence continuous from shot to shot. Our creative director decides the story, the look and the continuity the piece must observe.

We focus on making work that ships in the formats a campaign actually needs and finishing masters ready for release. The studio is based at DIFC Innovation One in Dubai's Innovation Hub. For services and examples see our services page.

The six stage method we use

Our pipeline runs in six stages: brief, treatment, shot design, production, review and versioning, and finish and delivery. The same pipeline runs on every project, whether a single film or a campaign that ships in more than one language and format. Scope and shot count come out of the initial brief.

At the brief you describe the audience, the message, where the piece runs and which formats and languages it needs. Nothing is committed or quoted at that point. The treatment is the cheapest stage to change direction because the creative approach is agreed before any shot design begins.

In shot design we break each sequence into directed shot sheets that fix blocking, lensing and lighting in writing before a frame is produced. Production then builds every shot from structured instructions and reference sheets that hold characters and costumes steady. During review we produce versions side by side so you choose which one goes forward.

What a production house does day to day

We turn a brief into a plan and then into files you can run. That includes agreeing the creative approach, directing the build of every shot, producing versions and finishing masters in the agreed aspect ratios and formats. Work moves from plan to finished masters rather than being fixed on the day.

Clients hire us to gather direction, craft and delivery under a single creative lead. Continuity, blocking and lens choices are decided in writing before production begins; the result is consistent footage that can be delivered in multiple shapes and markets without rebuilding the story for each placement.

At delivery you receive colour graded masters with logo lock ups in the formats set at the brief, not discovered at the finish. That approach also keeps the options for language versions open from the start. See how this works in our case studies.

How pricing and timing are decided

There is no rate card; a film is priced from what it has to do. Four things move the number: finished length, how many languages it ships in, how many formats it ships in, and whether it must be filmed for real. Those elements are defined at the brief.

Before you talk to anyone you can use the Every Market Calculator to get a range for the film you describe. It sets a traditional Dubai shoot against our pipeline, names the published source for every figure it uses, and gives a range to think with rather than a quote. Open the calculator to try it.

The calculator also lists when a real shoot is the right answer: a real named person on camera, a live event that happened once, a physical product that has to be shown exactly, approvals that require actual footage, or recognisable locations that must be the real place.

When human direction still matters

Every project is directed by a human creative lead and nothing leaves the studio without the director looking at it. A director still decides blocking, lensing and continuity, and does that work in writing on shot sheets before a single frame is generated. Direction remains central even when frames are produced differently.

We produce versions and compare them side by side so a client chooses which one goes forward. The responsible ai production page explains there is not yet a written approval procedure, and so far approvals have been handled in conversation. If you need named signoffs, ask for them in writing at the brief.

Brand assets supplied by a client are used only for that client's project and are not used to train models. No standard retention rule or consent form exists yet for likeness and voice, so where a real likeness or voice is required, agree permission in writing per project.

How to start and what to ask for in writing

Start with the brief. Use the short or full form and describe what the piece has to do: audience, message, where it runs, formats and languages. Everything except name, work email and company is optional. The creative director reads it and replies within 24 hours. Begin at brief.

After the brief ask for price, scope and deliverables to be confirmed in writing before anything starts. Confirm the languages and formats you need in writing too, because both are among the four things that move the number. The pricing page explains how a project is priced from the brief.

The Every Market Calculator is an estimate, not a quote. It runs in your browser, shows published sources and will not send anything unless you ask for the estimate to be emailed. When you move from estimate to contract, ask for written confirmation of price, scope, deliverables, languages, formats and any rights or usage terms.

Common questions

What services do you offer?
We list eight lines of work, including AI commercial production, brand films and corporate videos, product launch campaigns, social media content, music videos, real estate and hospitality visuals, Vision 2030 projects, and creative direction and AI consulting.
How long does production take?
Timing is set at the brief. For its example film the Every Market Calculator shows three to seven working days for the pipeline and thirty to fifty working days for a traditional shoot, and it gives those figures as a range to think with.
Can you produce films in Arabic?
The studio works in English and German with frame accurate lip sync. The site does not publish a rule about Arabic production or other languages, so ask in writing which languages you need when you submit your brief.
When is the price confirmed?
A project is priced from the brief and confirmed in writing before anything starts. Nothing is quoted before the brief stage, so ask for the written confirmation of price scope deliverables and formats after that conversation.
When is a real shoot necessary?
A real shoot is listed as the right answer when the brief needs a real named person on camera, a live event that happened once, a product that must be shown exactly, an approval requiring actual footage, or a recognisable location that must be the real place.

Working on something like this?

These notes describe how the studio runs its own productions. If you have a piece that needs the same discipline, send the brief over. Nothing is committed and nothing is quoted at that stage.
